With Haringey’s Free for 2s, some two-year-olds can have a free early learning place in a nursery, children’s centre, playgroup or childminder, for up to 15 hours a week.

Early learning is really important for children’s social, physical and mental development and also helps them to prepare for school – giving your child the best start in life.

NEW PROJECT HELPS YOUNG PEOPLE CHANGE GEAR

Young Residents in Northumberland Park and Broadwater Farm have helped set up a bike project to benefit their communities.

Your Bike Project is the result of the council’s consultation with residents asking what they wanted to see change on their estates. More employment and sports opportunities for young people were two of the top priorities, and so a programme based around bikes was created with the help of children’s charity, Wheely Tots.

£2.7m loan fund to power industrial growth in the Upper Lee Valley

Small businesses on Upper Lee Valley industrial estates will have access to a new £2.7million fund launched to boost and celebrate enterprise in the area. The fund will help increase productivity, support quality job growth, create local workspace and enhance the Upper Lee Valley’s commercial impact.
