HIGH ROAD WEST MASTERPLAN
Following extensive consultation with residents, the regeneration proposals and plans for High Road West were approved by Haringey Council’s Cabinet on Tuesday 16 December 2014.
The High Road West Masterplan, put together by planning and design experts Arup, is a technical document for an area that shows potential street layouts, public spaces, amount of housing and where key buildings could be - sets out how 1,400 plus new high-quality homes, community and leisure facilities and space for new businesses will be delivered. It is an important step in delivering the type of change that residents want to see in the local area.
All secure council tenants living on the Love Lane Estate will be offered a new, modern home at a social rent in the High Road West area and all resident leaseholders will be offered the opportunity to purchase an affordable home in the High Road West area.

What will change in High Road West?
A new landscaped open space at Moselle Square, with a new library, learning and enterprise centre, open outdoor events space and new cafes, bars and restaurants.
A brand new park, Peacock Park, at the heart of a new residential neighbourhood to the north of the High Road, with children’s play space, a free-to-use outdoor gym, as well as green quiet space to enjoy.
1,400 new high-quality homes, including houses and flats for every secure council tenant on the Love Lane Estate.
A safer, more accessible White Hart Lane Station, with improved train services and a modern entrance to the south, onto a new station forecourt.
An improved High Road with better pedestrian space, as well as a wider mix of shops and businesses to meet all your weekly shop needs locally. Space for start-up businesses to grow, with modern purpose-built units, more help to get on the jobs ladder and support for entrepreneurs.
On December 15 2015, Haringey Council’s Cabinet agreed that a development partner can be sought to deliver the exciting regeneration plans for High Road West.
A 12-month procurement process commenced in Spring 2016. A preferred bidder is expected to be announced Autumn 2017.
High Road West Regeneration Timeline
Subject to the democratic process the indicative development timeline could be:
2016 – 2017 - Secure a development partner
2017 – 2018 - Develop a planning application which will have detailed designs for the new homes and businesses
2018 – 2019 - Start building new homes and space for businesses
2020 Onwards - The new High Road West neighbourhood starts being built
