Food and Drink Festival time!

The third Haringey Food and Drink Festival takes place on Sunday 30 September, 11am-6pm on Tottenham Green. It is a free, family friendly festival with live music for Haringey.

Around 45 local growers, produce, street food, bakers, artisan, local breweries, gin makers and more will be there. This is your chance to meet the makers!

Proposals to close ticket offices at Bruce Grove and White Hart Lane Stations

London Overground is proposing to review and modernise customer service on the London Overground.

As part of the proposals a review of ticket offices has been carried out and closing fifty one ticket offices across the London Overground network is being considered. The proposed closures are at stations where there are fewer than twelve ticket sales per hour throughout the day. In Haringey this includes White Hart Lane and Bruce Grove. Consultation runs until 11 October.

A wonder of Victorian engineering celebrates its 130th anniversary this month.

The Markfield Beam Engine was commissioned in 1888 to provide a crucial public health role of treating sewage in Tottenham. The engine and site closed in 1964 but in 2009 the Markfield Beam Engine and Museum opened to the public with the magnificent engine pride of place.
