A day of performances, open mic, workshops, music, poetry from around the world, in aid of Tottenham’s Café Connect, inspired by the life of Aqeelah Alam. Join them on Saturday 7 July 3pm - 8pm at Cafe Connect in Down Lane Park.
Tottenham Cafe Connect is a new welcoming, multi-purpose Community Hub and Cafe for Tottenham, transformed from a disused bowling green and club into a place to meet neighbours, share skills and ideas, make new friends, have fun, be fit, grow food, show case talents and perform in our festivals and events.
This festival is inspired by the life of Aqeelah Alam (1957 - 1998) holistic healer and community builder who worked tirelessly to combat racism and violence against women and children and stood for liberation from all forms of oppression.

Any money raised will be used to get community gardeners for Plot to Plate project – a food and gardening ecotherapy / healing initiative bringing communities closer to nature and to each other.
Children aged 12 and under need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
